Shiflett has been an author who has written extensively between the realms of faith and technology.

He was a career executive in fiber optic technologies, holding several patents and initiating multiple successful business development ventures. On the other hand, he has also been active in Christian renewal, having served in various positions of church leadership and started several church plants.

He has published position papers and contributed to books on fiber technology. On the side, he’s also written an action-adventure novel titled Uncover: A Tale of Caution. This book even earned him a Reader’s Choice Award.

He has also served on the board of directors for Water is Life and Lost Children. Today, he resides in North Texas and has two children plus five grandchildren.
